A New Chapter for Hi-Acts: Dr. Nadja Kölpin Appointed as Platform Manager

The Hi-Acts platform is delighted to announce an important update:

Dr. Nadja Kölpin has taken over as Platform Manager, succeeding Christine Leue.

We extend our sincere thanks to Christine Leue for her tireless energy, vision, and leadership in shaping Hi-Acts into the dynamic, interdisciplinary platform it is today. Her commitment has built bridges between disciplines, connected communities, and laid the foundation for the collaborations that continue to drive innovation and impact.

Now, Dr. Nadja Kölpin steps into the role — a familiar face to many within the Hi-Acts community. In her previous position in Industry Relations at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY), she was already deeply involved in strengthening the ties between research and application, embodying the very mission that Hi-Acts pursues.

Guided by the belief that knowledge reaches its full potential only when it is put into practice, Nadja is passionate about translating scientific insights into real-world value.
“At Hi-Acts, I’m excited to work at the interface between major accelerator facilities, their many applications, and our industry partners,” she explains. “What inspires me most is the collaboration across diverse, interdisciplinary teams — when different perspectives meet, the results are greater than the sum of their parts.”

With her strong background in materials science and her experience at the crossroads of science and industry, Dr. Kölpin brings both expertise and vision to the role. Under her leadership, Hi-Acts will continue to strengthen its position as a bridge between cutting-edge research and real-world innovation — advancing collaborations that transform knowledge into societal benefit.
