On June 4, 2026, the Schleswig-Holsteinische Bildverarbeitungstage 2026 took place — one of northern Germany's key networking events for the imaging and machine vision community. Hi-Acts was proud to co-host the event alongside Initiative Bildverarbeitung e.V., with DESY providing the venue at its Flash seminar room in Hamburg.
More than 50 representatives from companies, research institutions, and universities gathered to exchange the latest developments in science and industry. Following a guided tour of the DESY campus, the programme featured a strong lineup of talks: Prof. Grüner presented perspectives on biomedical X-ray fluorescence imaging at PETRA III, and Dr. Johannes Hagemann explored holographic imaging at the same facility. Dr. Jörg Kunze from Basler AG offered an industry perspective on vision simulation tooling, while Max Anton Senkbeil from HAW Kiel addressed the challenges of image processing and control in automated ship refueling.
A special highlight was the presentation of the Fokusfinder Awards, honoring outstanding Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD theses. Congratulations to all this year's winners!
Many thanks to Prof. Stephan Hußmann and Werner Jessen from FH Westküste for the excellent organization and the great collaboration.
