Optics Made of Air: Gas-Based Sonophotonics as a New Platform Technology

Controlling light with ultrasound – this has been achieved by the DESY research group Ultrafast Photonics, in collaboration with TU Darmstadt and ultrasound device manufacturer Inson GmbH. Hi-Acts supported the follow-up activities aimed at market readiness, building on a project funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation with €750,000.
